We hope you had a truly wonderful Christmas, wherever you were, hopefully it wasn't hampered by
lack of electricity or flooding! What crazy weather we've had here in the UK.
Ours was nice and quiet this year (no crazy antics what with the bump in tow) I cooked a lovely goose
dinner for us and James' folks and Evie made her way through a pile of amazing presents.
Thank you to all who gave to us so generously.
So it's true, as you get older, time speeds up, or is it simply because our lives become so full of things
to do? As a child your job is to play and have fun. How many of us forget to do this as we get older?
Therefore this coming year I will solely be focusing on having fun with my family. It will still be very busy
what with a 4 year old and a new baby arriving in April, plus the business - I'll have my work cut out,
but I am not going to stress about it, things will happen as they do. I need to write out my 'Wish List'
for 2014. Do you have such a list? I checked my diary last night and realised that we'd achieved
everything that I wrote down at the beginning of 2013! Amazing! We got our garden landscaped,
went to NYC in May, I got pregnant in July and my best friend and I made it down to the South of France
in a car rally that we ended up winning!
Keeping a diary really helps you to see how you've progressed throughout the year, sometimes it's too
easy to forget all the amazing little events that happen. Focusing your mind on what you want to do,
rather than all the things you don't want, and keeping a clear picture of where you're going to end up
really helps. What do you want in 2014?
I want a healthy, happy baby, to be financially free, for my business to flourish even more and to be able
to give a percentage of our profits to children's charities, to increase my blog followers, to have lots of
holidays, to buy a VW camper van, to go to festivals, to continue expanding upon my personal development
and to meet more new lovely friends - but to generally have a fun, happy year full of laughter and love.
Here are a few quotes that have been playing on my mind recently that I think are quite apt for the new year:
" Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand,
while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand"
"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"
Think about your dreams and don't let them go.
May 2014 be full of magic and wonderment for you.
