James and I went to Winter Wonderland about 5 years ago, pre-Evie, when there was an ice rink, a couple of rides and a few Christmassy huts.
You could walk through it in 10 minutes. So we were totally blown away walking through the entrance of this crazy place on Sunday. Woooo it's changed
and grown some. It's HUGE! Totally utterly massive and I LOVED IT. There were, of course a lot of people, it was Sunday, in London near, Christmas time, but that didn't seem to hamper our spirits. Us adults found a mulled wine hut (there are loads!) and gratefully grabbed a steaming cup to keep us warm, although it wasn't too cold. Evie spied a pink flashing heart on a stick so Nana obliged her whim and bought it for her. It was almost seizure inducing!
We ambled through the heaving crowds looking at all the lovely stalls and taking in all the sights. Evie went on a train ride which had 2 floors and she
loved it. We didn't have to queue for ages either. It cost 2 tokens which equalled £2 (£1 per token) The light was fading so we grabbed another mulled
wine (mine had rum in it!!) and stared in amazement at all the fairground rides, Zippos Circus, rollercoaster, Santa Land and loads of Fun Houses!
Do you remember Fun Houses? These ones are totally amazing. I was going to take some photos of the Alpine Hotel but then the heavens opened
and it truly chucked it down. So we legged it.
We hadn't even made it around the whole place!
I would most certainly advise you to go. It's lots of fun with loads of things to do. They've done really good job there.
It's going to become one of the traditional things we do on the lead up to future Christmases.
